  1. What made him decide to continue his schooling after completing his undergraduate degree? Was it a difficult decision? Why or why not?

  2. Did he go back to school right after graduating from college or did he do something else for a few years?

  3. It usually takes several years to get an advanced degree. Did it seem like an overwhelming project when he first began?

  4. Did he have children or a spouse when he went back to school? Did continuing his education create any problems for his family?

  5. Did he have to move to a new town or state to begin his studies? Was he able to adjust to the new atmosphere? What kinds of difficulties did he run into?

  6. What area of study did he undertake when he went back to school? What level of degree was he aiming for? Why did he choose this level and area of study? Did he have a specific job in mind?

  12. What kinds of grades did he get as a graduate student? Did he find the classes easy or difficult?

  13. Did he have any special professors or mentors? What did he learn from them?

  14. Did he write a thesis? What was the topic? How long did it take to finish it? Did he enjoy writing it?

  15. If he finished his degree, how long did it take him? Did it take him longer than the norm? Did he have a celebration on the day of his graduation? Who attended? Did he receive any special gifts?

  16. If he didn't graduate, what happened that he was unable to finish his degree? Were there monetary problems? Did he find a job that he preferred to school? Was he just not cut out for grad school?

  17. How did it feel to leave school behind him? Was he sad to go or did he look forward to facing the "real world"? Did he have a job lined up? Was he getting married? Did he think that he would ever return to school?
