Internet Explorer Version 3.x

1. Start Internet Explorer if it is not already running.

2. From the View menu, select Options.

   Internet Explorer displays the Internet Options dialog box.

3. Click the Advanced tab.

   Internet Explorer displays the Advanced tab of the Internet Options dialog box.

4. Deselect the Warn Prior to Accepting Cookies check box.

   Note: You should leave this option enabled if you'd like to select cookies on a per-site basis. Remember that you've got to accept cookies from Family Tree Maker Online to ensure access to the members-only sections of our Web site.

5. Click OK to save your changes and close the dialog box.

Internet Explorer Version 4.x

1. Start Internet Explorer if it is not already running.

2. From the View menu, select Internet Options.

   Internet Explorer displays the Internet Options dialog box.

3. Click the Advanced tab.

   Internet Explorer displays the Advanced tab of the Internet Options dialog box.

4. Scroll down the list to the Cookies section, located below the Security section. Select the Always Accept Cookies check box.

   Note: Enable the Prompt before accepting cookies option if you'd like to select cookies on a per-site basis. Remember that you've got to accept cookies from Family Tree Maker Online to ensure access to the members-only sections of our Web site.

5. Click OK to save your changes and close the dialog box.

Internet Explorer Version 5.x

1. Start Internet Explorer if it is not already running.

2. From the Tools menu, select Internet Options.

   Internet Explorer displays the Internet Options dialog box.

3. Click the Security tab.

   Internet Explorer displays the Security tab of the Internet Options dialog box.

4. Click on the icon for Trusted Sites and check the security level. It should be set to low by default. Click the Sites button and enter the URL http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com. CLick Add to add it to the list of trusted sites so it will accept cookies.

5. Click OK to save your changes and close the dialog box.
