Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 Not Found During Browser Setup
Family Tree Maker works with Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 5.0. However, Family Tree Maker versions 6 and earlier are not able to identify it correctly, and may mistakenly identify it as version 4.0 during the setup process. Because both versions of Microsoft's browser are so similar and Internet Explorer 5 was released after Family Tree Maker versions 6.0 and earlier, Family Tree Maker cannot tell the difference.
To set up version 5.0, simply select Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 (32-bit) from the list of available browsers.
Family Tree Maker version 7 will identify it correctly.
